Description:

Schedule: 8 hour shift, 5 days a week, weekends may be required. Two consecutive days off. Shift start as early as 8, and end as late as 6 pm.

Overview:

This position will provide assistance to the Division of Visitor Services- Interpretation and Fees at Bryce Canyon National Park. This will include assisting the fee collection remittance, staffing the visitor center and the Junior Ranger center. Interns will also be asked to assist the park to reduce congestion in parking areas and during other events. No housing provided.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist park Visitor Use Assistants to reconcile fees and complete accounting report.
  • Provide trip planning and park orientation to park visitors at the visitor center, Junior Ranger Center, and while roving.
  • Assist Junior Rangers to complete their work book and park activities to sweat them in as a Junior Ranger.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service and hospitality
  • Experience working with children preferred.
  • Some knowledge accounting and reconciling reports preferred.
